I just finished assembling a Jet JPS-10 Pro shop 30” Table
Saw with cast iron wings and riving knife for the showroom. As someone who has
assembled his fair share of tools, this one was quite special. All the pieces
arrived in perfect condition. The fit and finish was truly beautiful. The parts
went together like they were supposed to and they were all there.
I put it on a Jet Universal Mobile base and even it was easy
to assemble. The cast iron wings are quite heavy and for an old man, I needed
help so I grabbed a Fastcap Upper hand along with a 4x6 to hold the wing up
while I put the screws in. The only other concern was the saw comes upside down
so you can install the legs. Once again
an old man all along tuning it right side up is no easy task. Fortunately my
high stacker allowed me to raise the saw up, and then tilt it up on all fours. I
strongly suggest you get someone to help you stand it up!
The fence was easy to install and required no adjustments
right out of the box, though I did go through aliment. The blade guard and riving knife were
pre-assembled and easy to install, easy to remove, or change as needed. The
instructions were clear and easy to follow.
This is one of the best tools I have ever assembled.
